Box springs

A box spring is also a form of a bed base.
Often get the word boxspring considered complete upholstered bed as you often see and box springs as so often sold complete with mattress and head and foot board.
However, a box spring is really just the bed base.
This usually consists of a wooden board bearing feathers and sometimes a layer of foam.
You could see it as a mattress on a shelf.
A box spring may simply be placed in a crib and bed base and does not always have a fully upholstered bed.
